The largest annual conference on security in the Baltic organisations is only a month away. The organisers, the Security Professionals Association, say that work is progressing according to plan and that they are making sure that the attendees have the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and experience for their careers, personal development and security.

The organising team is actively working on the content of the conference, the website and the overall conference concept. So, as we enter March, the last month of registration, we can be proud of a number of new features that enhance this year's conference.

Highest ever number of guest speakers and exhibitors

We are very pleased to announce that the conference speakers have reached the desired target of 16 leading security professionals and experts who will be presenting on two large stages. The conference will be opened by the Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Latvia, Rihards Kozlovskis. Over the last month and a half, the speaker programme has been expanded by security industry personalities such as Robert Lapševskis (Director of Energy Decisions Limited Ltd.), Vitālijs Rakstiņš (security expert, book author, former Defence Advisor in the UK), Kyle King (CEO of Capacity Building International, founder and CEO of Crisis Lab), as well as Egons Bušs (Director of LMT Security Service). As previously published, the unifying theme of this year's event is Effective Security Governance.

"Sharing high-level expertise is particularly important in this geopolitical environment, where new risks are on the rise, but past security risks are not going away. Sharing professional expertise on risk-led security decision-making, identifying risks and selecting the most appropriate security solutions worked well in peacetime, but needs to be continuously improved today. Now it is necessary to work with modern security solutions to make decisions dynamically, while maintaining data integrity, confidentiality and availability," says Egons Bušs, Director of LMT Security Service.

New section - Exhibiting companies

We are also delighted that a significant number of exhibitors have already signed up to present their security expertise and solutions at the stands and demonstrations. So far, 54 exhibiting companies will be present at the event, with a total of around 100 stands spread across the ground floor of the ATTA Centre! The exhibition will feature leading local security companies such as FN Serviss, KyberX, Brink's Latvia, Grif, Altas IT, BOTC Training, RAW, Zevs, etc., as well as several international representatives such as Hanwa Vision, Digifort, Flasheye, etc.

Please note that this year we have created a separate section on our website where you can find all the Exhibitors in one place.

Several organisational innovations and a wider range of supporters

DPA Chairman of the Board Artūrs Āmars says: "As the conference grows in size, we are delighted to be working with a growing range of partners and supporters. This adds value in several aspects. Firstly, it reinforces the belief that DPA's work is being heard and appreciated by a growing number of companies important to the security industry. Secondly, it motivates the team to perform better and to reach higher and higher "shelves". Thirdly, of course, it gives us the opportunity to reach a new level organisationally. For example, this year we have found the opportunity to provide simultaneous translation to and from English for all speakers."

The 2024 conference is organised in cooperation with general sponsor Samsung KNOX, sponsors LMT and DPA, as well as sponsors VUGD, CERT.LV, ENSHPO, Linearis and Crisis Lab.

The conference will take place on 11 April in Riga, at the ATTA Centre, the largest conference centre in the Baltics. The Baltic Security Conference 2024 is free of charge with pre-registration at https://balticsecurityconference.lv/en/register-for-the-conference/
