Attention – simultaneous interpretation will be provided at the conference

Preparations for the largest internal and organisational security event in the Baltics are in full swing. Just six weeks to go and all stakeholders will finally be able to meet face-to-face to take away the most valuable and useful takeaways from the event. In the meantime, we as organisers still have a lot to do.

Today we would like to present an organisational NEW thing that has already been done. We have heard from several of last year's attendees and, after careful analysis of the 2023 evaluation questionnaires, we have decided to provide simultaneous translation from and into English at this year's conference.

The Conference has and will continue to maintain an international format. We are very proud and grateful to every foreign guest speaker who finds the time and resources to share their experience and knowledge with the Latvian audience. We believe that this is an invaluable experience for any business and professional in Latvia, as not all companies are able to provide foreign training and experience exchange trips for their employees every year. At the same time, we have to agree that the security industry is quite narrow and rich in many technological, specific terms that can be more complicated to understand in a foreign language. It is important to us that everyone attending is able to fully comprehend and enjoy the conference in terms of content as well.

This year, language will no longer be a barrier for speakers and guests.

Latvian guest speakers have been offered a choice of which language they feel more comfortable speaking. Thus, on both stages of BSC 2024, lectures will be delivered in two languages - Latvian (local speakers, if they wish) and English (foreign speakers). In both cases, the audience will be able to listen to the lecture in the second language via an app on their phone, which can be accessed via a QR code. The only thing left to do is to choose between the two existing stages and the preferred language.

(!) Important - the organisers do not provide technical equipment - headphones. Please bring your personal headphones that match your phone!
