Description

Mika Gröndahl works as the Director at the Finnish National Rescue Association (SPEK). He has worked in a leadership role at SPEK for over five years. In his role, Gröndahl leads the unit responsible for expert and development services, overseeing preparedness, fire safety, research, international relations, as well as safety qualifications.

Mika Gröndahl is the chairperson of the Committee for Home Emergency Preparedness (KOVA) at the National Emergency Supply Organisation. The committee steers the national 72 hours preparedness recommendation in Finland.

Before joining SPEK, Gröndahl worked as the Executive Director of the Uusimaa Rescue Association and previously served as a Head Lecturer in preparedness at the Emergency Services Academy Finland. Earlier in his career, he held several leading positions in the private sector internationally.
